This attractively appointed, detached farmhouse has been fully refurbished to provide all modern facilities. In a superb elevated setting with magnificent views over the town of Aberfeldy to the right, and to the left towards the scenic beauty of the hills and mountains lying westward, it offers every comfort for the visitor, including a hot tub in the garden to take full advantage of the views. Ideally suited for active or more relaxing holidays, there is a huge range of outdoor pursuits available in the locality from wonderful walks literally from the doorstep, to cycling, fishing, stalking and hillwalking. Many watersports are available from the southern bank of Loch Tay at Kenmore including water skiing, rafting and jet skiing. Good shopping, restaurants and golf are to be found at Aberfeldy, 2 miles away, which also boasts the early 19th-century Aberfeldy Water Mill. Beautifully restored, it uses the power of the Urlar Burn to stone-grind oatmeal in the traditional way. Over Wade's Bridge, which spans the River Tay, Castle Menzies (which can be seen from the house) stands as the former seat of the Clan Menzies and is a grand 16th-century tower house laid out in the form of a `Z' shape. Further to the north is Pitlochry, set amidst hills, with its two distilleries (one of which is Scotland's smallest) and both offering tours showing how the fiery amber liquid is produced.
