Lots of woodland trails on the doorstep for mountain biking and horse riding or fishing on one of the many small hill lochs. Loch Ness is 6 miles to visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle or take a boat trip. Slightly further afield is Inverness, the Highland capital, with a wide range of shops, restaurants, and cultural and leisure amenities. Fort William, the Isle of Skye, Aviemore and Wick are all within a day’s drive.
