From the covered terrace, adjacent to the kitchen, there are superb views of the cliffs at Domme set high above the River Dordogne. Sarlat, to the north, holds a very colourful bustling open-air market on Saturday mornings. Venture into the centre of town, especially in the evenings, when the beautiful medieval buildings are floodlit. The châteaux of Castelnaud and Beynac are also nearby and well worth a visit.
