 Chez Meynard

This village cottage, full of character is situated in the wine-producing plains, west of Bergerac, with the River Dordogne only 200m. During renovations the original walls of brick and river pebbles were discovered and fully restored. The owner, a keen antiques collector has some lovely country furniture, restored by himself. There is a small garden to the rear (access from kitchen and one bedroom). There are six principal groups of wine appellations in this area, the better known being Monbazillac, Pécharmant and Bergerac. Five minutes' drive is the Cave Co-opérative of Le Fleix, known for its award-winning wines.
