Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are within easy reach as are several magnificent National Trust Houses and Gardens. The popular Eden Project is also easily accessible. Historic Launceston (1 mile), once the capital of Cornwall, offers a medieval castle, a selection of shops and a steam railway.
