Built in the 1400s, this large and imposing Grade II listed farmhouse stands in an elevated position above the Fal Estuary. The holiday property is set within 3/4 acre of terraced and lawned gardens, adorned by a variety of mature camellias, and an ancient sweet chestnut tree. It lies just 1/4 mile from the heart of Penryn, a town which was established in the early thirteenth century, and which today, as an Outstanding Conservation Area, still has many examples of interesting architecture, as well as a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby Falmouth, (2 miles) boasts the third largest natural harbour in the world, with craft ranging from ferries and pleasure boats to championship sailing. Leisure activities locally to enjoy include golf and sea fishing, whilst there are also many wonderful sandy beaches and coves for good family days out by the sea. Places of interest to visit include Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum, and for day trips there are magnificent gardens to visit in the area, including those of Trebah, Trelissick and Glendurgan, which are particularly beautiful during the Festival of Spring Gardens (during April and May). Roseland and the Lizard peninsula are an within easy driving distance, with Truro lying approximately 10 miles away. Pub 1/4 mile.
