Newquay, Cornwall.,United Kingdom
This spacious detached house stands in one of the most idyllic situations with uninterrupted views across the tidal River Gannel estuary to a sandy beach and Penpol Creek. A footpath leads from the garden gate down to and, at low tide, across a wooden footbridge to the beautiful beach and village of Crantock, (half-mile by foot, five miles by car) at the mouth of the estuary. West of Crantock village is the enchanting beach of Polly Joke, sheltered between the headlands of West Pentire Point and Kelsey Head. The immediate area is renowned for its superb walking and splendid cliffs and coastal scenery. Newquay itself is renowned for its many sandy beaches including the famous surfing beach of Fistral (half-mile). Newquay harbour offers a variety of boat and fishing trips, whilst a boating lake, zoo, tennis courts, bowling greens, riding stables and golf links, together with a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants give plenty to occupy the visitor. Nearest pub/restaurant about one mile. Half an hour's drive to the north lies the quaint fishing village of Padstow whilst to the south is the city of Truro offering good shops and restaurants and a splendid cathedral. Standing within enclosed well maintained and manicured gardens, this truly is a wonderful location in which to sit and relax, enjoying the ever-changing views of the river.
