Spacious Oak Lodge is set in the grounds of Tirindrish House, famous as the home of Highland hero Donald MacDonell, who was hanged for his part in aiding Prince Charlie in 1745. It has fine views of the Ben Nevis mountain range and the area is superb for activity seekers - climbing on Ben Nevis, cycling or walking on many fantastic paths (the Great Glen Way is nearby), fishing, golfing and riding. There are plenty of leisure activities like the mountain gondola (10-15 minutes' drive). Lovers of the wonderful countryside will find that some of the Highland's most notable beauty spots, like Loch Ness, Glen Nevis and Monarch of the Glen and Harry Potter country are a short drive. Spean Bridge, with its shops and restaurants is 10 minutes' walk.
