Behind the house is a covered terrace and lovely garden, perfect for those wonderful summer evenings, when relaxing with a glass of the local wine! This is the beautiful Cognac countryside, with Cognac itself just 9.5 miles (15km) away.
Saintes is also nearby, which is well worthy of exploration and there are a number of local vineyards, where tasting is obviously on the menu.
