This fishing port and yachting harbour at the mouth of the Orb has a fine sandy beach stretching as far as the Grau-de-Vendres at the mouth of the Aude to the west. It is situated only 6.25 miles (10km) from Béziers, already a thriving city when the Romans arrived and colonised it in 35 BC.
Facilities available locally include tennis, golf and horse riding.
