There is a large lake just 1.5km away, and hikers and cyclists will be attracted to the north, into the Haut Languedoc regional nature park, France has only 7 national parks and this is one of the prettiest.
Day excursions within a short drive include Minerve, St. Pons-de-Thomières, Béziers, Narbonne and of course the golden sandy beaches 50 km away.
