If lazing around the pool is not the order of the day then there are a number of excursions within a short drive in any direction. To the north awaits some excellent walking in the Haut Languedoc Regional Nature Park. All the sporting activities one could hope for in Lamalou-les-Bains, plus the beautiful scenery around lake Salagou.
To the east you can take a two hour signposted walk around the art and craft town of Pézenas. Southwards brings you to the historical town of Béziers. An added bonus is that the closest seaside, and certainly the nicest along this stretch of coast, Cap d'Agde awaits at only 40km.
