The ruins of the castle of Ancenis is just a few minutes drive away, as is the beautiful village of St. Florent-le-Vieil set on the hill overlooking the Loire.
Take the tourist trail of the Angers vineyards and taste the famous Angou in the numerous cellars. Further afield lies La Baule, one of the most sought after resorts on the Atlantic coast with lovely beaches and elegant villas, and an excellent choice of shops or just sit and watch the world go by in one of the pavement cafés.
