L'Abbaye Nouvelle is in the Lot but very close to the border with the Dordogne, it is a great place to tour and visit the two. The Lot has 420 protected historic sites including Rocamadour, the most visited place in the South West of France.
Approx 30km to the north is the Dordogne valley where The Bastide of Domme, the medieval town of Sarlat and the châteux of Begnac and Castelnaud are very popular with visitors to the region.
The detached house has large private gardens, mainly to the rear, most of which are lawned where guests can enjoy the private swimming pool, play badminton, boules and football. The nearest town is Gourdon, approximately 7km, which has a very popular weekly market and a good choice of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. There is a restaurant in L'Abbaye Nouvelle which is within easy walking distance.
