This attractive house located in a sleepy village has been completely renovated offering a central touring base with interesting and varied excursions awaiting only a short drive from the property, plus miles of golden sandy beaches of the Mediterranean beginning only 30 km away.
5 km to the north enjoy some leisurely walks or bike rides along the banks of the Canal du Midi, an amazing feat of engineering and a very pleasant place to be in the summer months in the shade of the massive plane trees. Head west to discover the world famous medieval city of Carcassonne (45 km), one of the most visited tourist attractions in France.
To the east, instead of just heading to the beach take a little time to enjoy the flora and fauna around the Bages Lagoon, and also the village itself, and for wildlife lovers, visit the impressive Sigean African Reserve. If it's history you're after visit some of the impressive Cathar Castle in the area. Beautiful and historical towns such as Narbonne, Béziers, Montpellier and Perpignan all also offer pleasant days out. Can be booked with W13589 for larger properties.
