Visit Pirou with its 11th century castle built by Vikings, or the chic resort of Barneville-Carteret with its boat trips to Jersey (18km). Historical Coutances with its cathedral is 30km away, and a little further afield is Valognes, once known as the Versailles of Normandy.
Granville, home of pirates for centuries, is 60km away and offers a fishing harbour, wonderful seafood restaurants and boat trips to the Chausey Islands.
