This semi-detachd cottage is over 100 years old, and the British owners have modernised it with a fitted kitchen, pretty bathroom and splash pool, whilst keeping the building in character with exposed beams and stonework, and a working woodburner in the lounge.
The nearest village with services is Verteuil, a beautiful village which sits on the river Charente. Ruffec is another 3km on and is typical of the pretty towns in the Charente.
Poitiers and Futuroscope are 50km to the north, linked by fast roads, as are the beaches on the Vendée coast which are within a 2 hours drive.
Shop, café/bar and restaurant 3km.
Ground floor: Lounge, kitchen/diner. First floor: Shower room with toilet and basin, 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin.
Electric heating, woodburner in lounge, all fuel and power included in rent May to September, ?30 supplement October to April, bed linen and towels included in rent, colour TV, DVD player, microwave, patio, outdoor furniture, off road parking for 2 cars. Pets welcome.
