Outside there is a large partially enclosed garden and within easy reach is the lake of Panneciére with beaches and watersports on offer. Not far away is the town of Moulins Engilbert, with its medieval streets and castle.
For a day trip, the town of Autun is well worth a visit with its Roman theatre, as are the famous vineyards in the resort of Beaune. To the west of the property lies Nevers - well known for its pottery.
