Le Verdon-sur-Mer is situated 100km from Bordeaux. It is a paradise for all water sports such as surfing, sand sailing, body boarding, water skiing or just swimming with nearly 40km of sandy beaches right on the Atlantic ocean. It is also the perfect place to relax, stroll, cycle or partake in the numerous sporting activities in the surrounding forests and dunes. Le Verdon-sur-Mer is also ideal to visit the famous local vineyards such as the castle of Médoc and Bordelais, the ports of Verdon and Bloc or even the Cordouan lighthouse in the estuary, one of the most beautiful in the world. The Domaine du Phare comprises of 70 split- level houses and enjoys a scenic location, just 2km from the Gironde beaches, 1.5km from the centre of the village and 3km from the ocean beaches (Port Medoc or Pointe de Grave). Facilities include a large heated outdoor pool with sun loungers and a children's paddling pool.
