The Arcachon Basin is located 60km north of Bordeaux and the town of Le Teich attracts visitors from all around the world, who come to discover the breathtaking area.
The Pyla Dunes are probably one of the more famous attractions, standing at 105m high and 2700m long, though the Ornithological park, known as `Bird Island' or the oyster farms are equally fascinating. For those who wish to venture further afield, the historic centre of Bordeaux has much to offer and the famous Rue Ste Catherine is ideal for a days shopping, or take a drive through the nearby vineyards and stop to sample the famous regional wines.
The attractive complex of Les Rives Marines is ideally located between the port and the old market town and has direct access to the basin and only 4km from the beach (accessed via pedestrian footpath or bike).
