This exceptional 18th century stone built farmhouse is located on the Normandy/Brittany border making it an ideal base to explore northern France. The farmhouse has been restored to a very high standard and offers accommodation for 8 guests within its principal property, and for a further four within a self-contained barn conversion to the rear. The property maintains all of its original character and charm with large oak beams, exposed stone walls and huge granite open fire. The farmhouse is set on an acre of land and it has ample parking for both properties. Each of the properties have their own lawned garden areas for relaxing or enjoying a barbecue with picturesque views overlooking the surrounding farmland.
The properties are situated in a quiet rural setting within walking distance of the nearest village of Le Ferre. It is also ideally located to explore the sights of both Brittany and neighbouring Basse Normandy. Le Mont St Michel is perhaps Normandy's best known attraction, whilst the hilltop town of Avranches with its formal gardens and museums is a must see for visitors to the area. The bustling seaside resort of Granville lies a little further north, whilst in Brittany itself, the nearby coastal town of Cancale draws visitors from across France for its picturesque harbour and local seafood.
The local village of Le Ferre offers a boulangerie and café/restaurant within approximately 500m.
