This small 17th century hill farm, with pet sheep, lies in a beautiful and tranquil valley within the Lake District National Park.

Elevated and surrounded by craggy hills, this simple cosy holiday cottage is a perfect base for hill walking and exploring. It is full of character and charm with magnificent cruck beams and exposed stonework. Coniston Lake 4 miles, Eskdale 10 miles, Ambleside 14 miles. Wonderful views down the valley and to the sea in the distance.

The area has much more on offer than excellent walks and scenery, with its rich history and culture there is lots to see and do, with museums, galleries, heritage centres, garden, 15th century buildings and National Trust properties to visit, not to mention the variety of shopping and traditional tea rooms available.

Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 0.75 mile.

Ground floor: 1 double bedroom, shower room with toilet and basin. First floor: Lounge/kitchen/diner.

Electric heating, electricity by meter reading at end of stay, bed linen included in rent, colour TV/DVD player, radio/cassette player, microwave, enclosed patio, off road parking for 1 car. Pets welcome. NB: Theres is a steep stone staircase to the first floor.
