Terraced cottage for 4
Originally the main customs office in an area with history of pirates and smugglers, this delightful cottage has been skilfully refurbished to a very high standard offering bright and sunny accommodation.
Ideally positioned, on the edge of the main street in the peaceful fishing village of the Isle Of Whithorn, overlooking the bay and harbour it is within feet of the beach, where passing swans and herons are regular visitors.
Golf, riding, walking and cycling are available locally along with sea fishing and fishing trips from the harbour. Nearby Garlieston House, gardens and beach, St. Ninians Cave and the Gavin Maxwell Memorial at Monreith provide an insight into the history of the area. A visit to Wigtown, 'Scotland's premiere book town' and the 'Bladnoch Whisky Distillery' are essential, and for a day out visit Castle Kennedy, Port Patrick, the original gateway to Ireland, and Logan Botanic Gardens with a unique collection of plants from New Zealand and Australia.
