This delightful terraced character holiday cottage is situated in Cartmel, one of South Lakeland's oldest villages.

The village grew up around the famous 12th century priory and is steeped in history with its numerous buildings in particular the old gatehouse which was part of the monastery in the 14th century. Built in the 17th century on the existing boundary wall using old stones and timbers from the monastery, as were many of the other buildings in the village.

Originally built as a stocksman's cottage it has been renovated to provide holidaymakers with an ideal, all year round base in this charming village with its traditional pubs and shops. Golf 1 mile.

Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
