Midleton, Youghal and West Waterford are equally nearby with Cork city only 25 minutes. Barnabrow is an Anglicisation of the Irish Name 'Bar na Brugla' which translate as top of the fairy fort. Local lore has it that there was a fairy fort on the lands of the estate which are associated with good luck of the Irish. Shops and pub 1.5 miles, restaurant 1.5 miles.
