Lake Shore Holiday Village is situated on the expansive Blessington lake on the outskirts of the pretty village of Blessington. Facilities on site at extra charge, include heated swimming pool, restaurant and bar. On the lake, also at extra charge, visitors can enjoy kayaking, wind surfing and canoeing, all with qualified instruction. You can of course simply relax in this serene setting, but if you're feeling energetic there are lots of activities for you and the family right on your doorstep. You can cycle round the lake, go fishing, sailing or windsurfing, play tennis, try your hand at archery or clay pigeon shooting on site, or play a round of golf. After all that you can walk to the village in 10 minutes and have a well earned pint in one of the old established villlage pubs, or have a meal in one of the local restaurants.There's also an Italian restaurant on site. The busy town of Naas , with a wide range of restaurants and shops is 15 minutes away, as is the Newbridge Silverware Factory shop. Wicklow, 'The Garden of Ireland', is situated along the East Coast, just forty-five minutes from the heart of Dublin City. It is a county that is blessed with natural beauty, breathtaking scenery, magnificent, tranquil lakes, glorious sandy beaches, world-class golf courses and wonderful gardens. It has an abundance of history and boasts some of the world's most famous sites, including the spectacular mountainside village of Glendalough. The county is blessed to have some of the most wonderful, natural beauty anywhere in Ireland; from the spectacular Blessington Lakes to the wonderful and the quaint village of Avoca. County Wicklow is located on the East Coast of Ireland and there is an excellent new motorway (N11) which leads all the way from South Dublin right through to Wicklow. Blessington is situated just 25 miles from Dublin City and it is the gateway to the Poulaphouca lakes. These lakes have transformed the area in terms of scenic beauty and the area is now open to a host of water sports. Local attractions include Russborough House and the Poulaphouca Reservoir. Blessington lake is the largest reservoir (5,000 acres) in Ireland and is just on your doorstep. It has 50 miles of shoreline with many inlets and bays which offer the angler excellent game and coarse fishing.
