For gourmet enthusiasts the renowned Ballymaloe Restaurant, Shop and Cookery School are within 20 miles and Kinsale at 45 miles is well worth a visit. Cork, 30 miles, is Irelands second city, and as European Capital of Culture 2006, has numerous museums, galleries, a theatre plus excellent shopping and restaurants.
