Carleton Village Resort is set on an elevated 20 acre site overlooking Youghal Bay and the seaside town of Youghal. It has a mixture of holiday villas and apartments in a landscaped setting and boasts tennis courts, children's play area and a walled garden with outdoor children's pool (open Jul - Aug). There is a 'Kids Club' at extra charge (payable locally) also available (Jul - Aug). The energetic can walk down the steep hill to the beach and main street. Alternatively, a one mile drive will bring you to the town and beach. Youghal is famous for its 5 miles of golden sands and boasts a harbour, leisure centre with gym and indoor swimming pool, children's amusements plus historic walking tours. Boat trips up the Blackwater Estuary can be arranged in summer, and fishing, golf and horse riding are available all year. Cork Airport, 43 miles, and its proximity to the N25, makes it a good base for touring Cork and Waterford. Attractions include the Jameson Whiskey Centre at Midleton, Fota Wildlife Park, Blarney Castle with its famous stone, Lismore Castle and Declans Tower at Ardmore. For gourmet enthusiasts the renowned Ballymaloe Restaurant, shop and cookery school are within 25 miles.
'Carleton Wharf' apartments are situated on separate waterfront sites near the centre of the seaside town of Youghal and are within yards of the beach, harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, so forget the car and stroll into this historic town. They are well furnished and equipped and have a balcony with stunning views of the bay.
