This is a spacious, well run holiday village in Co. Westmeath, approximately 50 miles from Dublin, 12 miles from Mullingar and approximately 30 miles from Navan. The holiday village is extremely well maintained, and the properties are very well equipped and presented. The village is protected by security gates and the site is equipped with a tennis court and children's play area. Bicycles and tennis racquets are available for hire.Activities available in the area include fishing, golf, public swimming pool, walking and horse riding. There is an interesting historical site at Fore, Kells, a heritage town with Heritage Centre, and Lough Crew, an ancient burial site. A little further afield, but still within comfortable driving range are historical sites such as New Grange, Knowth and Dowth, and the very interesting monastic site at Clonmacnoise. Belvedere house and Gardens and Trim Castle where ?Brave Heart? was partially filmed are also well worth a visit. The owners take particular care and are extremely attentive to the needs of guests. Mullingar, 6 miles, for shops and restaurants, while the local shop and pub are just 100 yards away.
