You are close to the extremely pretty coastal villages of Baltimore, Castletownshend, Union Hall and Glandore where you will find a variety of sea based activities including sailing, diving, canoeing, kayaking, angling, and whale and dolphin watching trips. From Baltimore you can also get ferries to Sherkin and Cape Clear Islands, or a trip to Fastnet Rock. There are a number of small sandy coves within a few miles. Lough Ine is Ireland's first marine nature reserve and the wooded hill nearby provides a lovely walk. Bantry, Glengarriff and Garnish Island Gardens are within easy reach and the spectacular scenery on Mizen, Sheep's Head and Beara Peninsula will delight. Shop, pub and restaurant 1.25 miles.
