Just a short walk to Louisburgh which is well located as regards to walking and especially beaches. The beach at Old Head has Blue Flag status and has Croagh Patrick as a truly dramatic back-drop. There are plenty of surfing beaches, Delphi Adventure Centre, walking, hiking and fishing are available locally. Day trips to Connemara, Galway, Wesport and Achill Island (designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) are a must. Shops, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
