The village of Port William, known as the 'Machars of Galloway' has been presented with the 'Pride of Galloway' award, offering spectacular views across to Luce Bay, the Isle of Man and Mull of Galloway. There are many sandy beaches adjacent to the village, including Monreith and Craignarget.
Walking, cycling, river and loch fishing, as well as golf facilities are all nearby. The rocks can be accessed from the village by boat. Wigtown (Book Town), Whithorn and the Isle of Whithorn are all within easy reach of the property, with the animal farm at Monreith a must see attraction.
