Ford is situated at the south western end of Loch Awe - renowned for its fishing. Nearby is Kilmartin, in the heart of Kilmartin Glen, famous for its historical and archaeological sites, with standing stones, castles and ancient Cairns.

The award winning Kilmartin Museum is well worth a visit, and other attractions are bird watching, walking and cycling. Day trips to various islands can be organised from nearby Oban or Tarbert.
