 Pine Lodge
Tully Cross, Co. Galway,Ireland
Set in a coastal outback of magnificent Connemara, this fascinating yet simple `Hansel and Gretel' thatched cottage overlooks tiny Lough Tully. Close to one other property, standing on natural land, it is within easy reach of sandy beaches, perhaps accessed by hiring mountain bikes from the village (200 yards). Alcock and Brown's first transatlantic flight landed near Clifden (9 miles), nestled close to the `Twelve Bens'. It is a haven for writers, artists and film-makers, and its coast has the region's largest seal colony, with whales and dolphins frequently seen from angling and ferry boats. Three pubs, a shop and restaurant within 300 metres.
Ground floor: Living room. Dining room. Kitchen. 1 single bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 double. 1 twin, 1 single (2ft 6in for child).
