In a superb, secluded setting by the seashore, with its own pebble beach just 50yards away, this single-storey cottage is surrounded by a wonderfully rugged coastline, with a view of Clew Bay from the patio. Set on the owner's working farm, it is beautifully furnished, with great attention to detail and its own garden. Within 1½miles there is a choice of lovely sandy beaches, perfect for surfing, and there are daily ferries out to Clare Island from nearby Roonagh Quay. The village of Louisburgh (1mile) offers excellent pubs and a good restaurant. Westport, 14miles, is a town of picture-postcard prettiness, with a small zoo, lake and park as well as a heritage centre dealing with local history. Sea angling can be arranged from here, as can salmon fishing and boat hire.
