Description of Tante MargueriteThis holiday house Ma Tante Marguerite is situated near Durbuy, in the middle of the Belgian Ardennes. The hilly region conveys the feeling of a true holiday. You can enjoy beautiful views while hiking or cycling. You can have lot of fun as a kayaker on the Ourthe that flows just 3 km away. There is also a small beach, where you can relax whilst watching the cows grazing on the banks. Durbuy and Barvaux are about 10 km away and have wide ranging offers for outdoor sports. Children will have lot of fun in the fantastic recreation area Domaine Provenciale in Chevetogne with 12 playgrounds. The ruins of La Roche, the fortress of Dinant and the caves of Han are worth visiting. You will stay in a farmhouse built in 1746 with plenty of space within and outside. The entrance to the house is through the well-equipped kitchen. There is a bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor. The first floor consists of a massive living room with several relaxing areas, dining area and fireplace. Further, there is a gallery area with seating corners where children can play. One of the four bedrooms, next to the living room has a wonderful traditional bathtub and an attached toilet. Two bedrooms have a private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. The natural garden is spectacular. Many small steps and slopes have come up due to usage of the garden area for centuries. So, be careful with small children. The covered terrace is equipped with luxurious furniture. The front part of the garden is completely shielded from the street and the rear portion is lined mostly with trees and bushes. There is enough space available for parking two vehicles in front of the building. For more vehicles, parking is available 200 metres away.
