Veddinge Hills is an extensive, hilly region near the beach and the forest. Cliffs that extend until Sejero Bay add to the scenery. The region that extends until the arches of Odsherred is a wavy, moraine landscape that dates back to Ice Age. Vesterhoj, situated at an altitude of 121 metres, has 27 churches in all which includes the Cathedral of Roskilde. It is said that at the foot of Vesterhoj, under the mountain dwelling, there is a dragon which guards a gigantic pot of gold. Artefacts that date back to Stone Age were recovered from Naebbet, the extreme tip of Ordrup Naes. The coast along the Bay of Sejero is diverse and has a number of sandy beaches, many of which are child friendly. You can also experience a great holiday on the peninsula on your bicycles. Small, cosy cafes and shopping centres are available in Ordrup located nearby. Delicious dishes are prepared in the restaurant situated in Dragsholm Castle with self-grown, organic produce. Zealand Summerland, the charming Rorvig and the galleries of Nykobing are worth a visit. From Havnso, you can travel to the small islands of Sejero and Nekselo. Wonderful nature and a church with frescoes are available in Sejero. Unique bird life and outstanding fishing grounds for fishermen can be found in Nekselo.
