The house offers plenty of space for you to relax and bask in the sunlight. In the garden you will also find Krolf- and pétanque courts. A wonderful sandy beach with dunes is available nearby. You can visit the art museum or play golf and tennis. There are several fishing spots along the coast where you can try your luck at fishing. A stroll through the beautiful landscape of this region is a pleasure in itself. The glacial terrain of Odsherred was shaped thousands of years ago when the glaciers of the last ice age pushed against the headland and left behind a unique landscape with a variety of impressive shapes. The region is now an internationally recognised Geopark. This prehistoric phenomenon still continues to influence the agriculture of the region. The huge glacial deposits from the seabed are spread across the region and make it very fertile. The uniquely shaped landscape also inspires artists. Some of the boulders from the glacier were used to erect barrows, monoliths and dolmens thousands of years ago and add to the magic of Odsherred. There are also many ancient churches, castles and mills. Quite a few manors in the area host museums, lively exhibitions or even restaurants and are open to visitors. If you want to learn more about the history of the area, you can visit the Odsherred museum in Nykøbing Sj which is part of the Geopark. Here you can learn about the bronze age and the Sun Chariot, dating back to the bronze age that was discovered here. The chariot is exhibited in the National Museum because it is considered to be a national treasure. You can admire the artwork at the Glass Museum in Hempel or visit the Summerland Zealand further south, which offers plenty of fun for young and old. In Asnæs there is a wonderful art museum. If your children do not find it interesting enough, you can take them to see the fire museum. The area also hosts a wonderful zoo and the largest grave mound of Odsherred. The ubiquitous sea dominates the region. In Odden, Nykøbing Sj. and Rørvig you will find several small fishing harbours and marinas. It is a special experience to arrive by boat and to dock almost directly in the city centre. The many beaches in the area have excellent water quality as attested by the Blue Flag. There are several nature reserves in and around Rørvig. You will also find the idyllic lake of Dybesø here. Especially the birdlife of the peninsula is very special. You can take long walks or bike rides through the dunes, woods and open fields and enjoy the fresh sea air. If you miss the vibrant life of a metropolis, you can easily pay a visit to the Danish capital of Copenhagen by car. The city offers unlimited entertainment, shopping and the legendary Tivoli.
