House In Kalundborg
Drosselvænget, Kalundborg, Region Zealand, Denmark
Description of House In KalundborgThis is a lovely cottage with kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with direct access to a partially open terrace. The house is close to Saltbæk Vig. Saltbæk Vig is a 16 square kilometre lake with salty water as a result of a failed dam experiment in 1866. The containment dams were to connect the islands Store and Lille Vrøj, and Alleshave peninsula to Røsnæs and separate the Sejerø Bay. Instead, an interesting natural area was created. Access to Saltbæk Vig is not permitted, but you can avail of guided tours. Also, wonderful golf courses are located a few kilometres from Kalundborg. Kalundborg is good for shopping, and there are cosy cafes and local and narrow, medieval streets lined with half-timbered houses. The pedestrian street and the old district area are also perfect for family holidays. Explore, on the Reersø Peninsula, the 9 km long coastal road that leads to fantastic nature: cross through wet meadows - Flasken, Skiften and Vejlen - where you can see ducks, waders and interesting flora and travel to the east in the direction of Zealand. In the west there is a cliff and also good fishing grounds. Copenhagen is a little more than 100 km away.
