Description of House In KalundborgThis typical holiday home has a kitchen, a wood-fired stove and a partially open terrace. In addition, there is a beautiful garden and lot of space to play. Saltbæk Vig, close to the house, is a 16 square km large wetland and lake with salt water, the largest in West Zealand. The lake is the result of a failed containment dam project started in 1866, to connect the islands of Store, Lille Vrøj and Alleshave peninsula to Røsnæs and to separate the Sejerø Bay. But instead, an interesting natural area was created. Access to Saltbæk Vig is not permitted, but you can avail of guided tours. Wonderful golf courses are located a few kilometres from Kalundborg. Kalundborg is good for shopping. There are cosy cafes and narrow, medieval streets lined with half-timbered houses. The pedestrian zone and the old district are perfect for family holidays. Explore the 9 km long coast road on the Reersø Peninsula and enjoy the beauty of nature: cross through wet meadows - Flasken, Skiften and Vejlen - where you can see ducks, waders and interesting flora and travel to the east in the direction of Zealand. In the west, there is a cliff and good fishing grounds. Drive a little more than 100 km to reach Copenhagen.
