Diving board available for diving (2.7m depth). The house is situated next to a farm with cattle. The upstairs level has sloping ceilings and low beams. The historic bustling Bastide town of Eymet is close by (11km) with a weekly market, cafes, bars and restaurants. The charming Bastide towns of Duras and Monségur are within a short drive and also have colourful weekly markets. Nearby Bergerac straddles the River Dordogne and is the largest town in the Périgord Pourpre département, an area that derives its name from the purple grapes that grow in the region's 125 km² of vineyards. The most famous wines are the sweet whites produced around Monbazillac with château open to the public. The old city and harbour retain their charm making Bergerac a good place to spend a day exploring. There are opportunities for cycling, walking, and wine tasting and canoeing in the area and for sampling the regions delicious local produce at one of the many local restaurants.
