The nearest shop and tennis court is in historic village of Rouffignac, a 10 minute drive. A wider selection of shops, supermarkets and aquarium can be found in Le Bugue. The bustling town of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac offers many attractions and is the home of the first-known bones of 'homo sapiens'. You can visit 'the 'cave of one hundred mammoths' and the sinister-looking Château de l'Herm, both near Rouffignac. In the dramatic scenery along the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, visit the many caves in over-hanging cliffs such as La Roque Saint-Christophe, and see the stunning châteaux such as Beynac. The wonderful medieval town of Sarlat is a must, as is Lascaux II, the world famous painted cave (both within a 30 minute drive). For the sporty, there's golf at Belvès, a 35 minute drive.
