Description of House In TauléThis 17th century manor house is a lovely holiday house set in mature gardens on the outskirts of the village of Taulé. This incredibly charming property retains much of its atmosphere you long for in an original French Manoir. The stone fireplaces, beamed ceilings all add to the rustic style of the property whilst retaining its quirks and charms. The capacious kitchen - diner has access to the conservatory, sheltered garden and terrace. Once you arrive inside this wonderful house, you will find yourself in the main lounge/dining room, suitable for all types of entertaining and spectacular drawing room situated on the second floor. There are living rooms on both ground and first floor, with beamed ceilings, arched stone doorways and an imposing central staircase. The first floor bedroom has a beautiful ensuite bathroom, while the second floor bedrooms are cosy and typically French. The cabin bed to the side of the corridor is an original touch. Upstairs on the second floor you will find the main bedroom which is both grand and opulent in its design. There is a Louis VI four poster bed which our guests love and this bedroom has its own newly decorated en-suite bathroom with sink, bath and shower. On the third floor there are 3 bedrooms, one twin, double and single bedroom. The bedrooms share a recently refurbished bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. The games room complete with full size ping pong table, table football, kids friendly darts board, 3 x bikes and a range of board games and bagatelle. The landscaped gardens are beautiful and includes secluded areas of woodland and trees. There is an outdoor area with tables and chairs for al fresco entertainment and leisure time. Taulé makes a great base for a family beach holiday, with the sheltered sandy beaches at the family-friendly Carantec just 10km away (15 minutes drive). The bay of Morlaix, including the picturesque port of Roscoff, with its many islands accessible by ferry or at low tide, provides a very wide variety of activities for all the family. Further west are the long, unspoilt beaches of Santec and Plougoulm, with fine pale sand; to the east are the picturesque coves and prehistoric monuments of Barnenez. The medieval market town of Morlaix, with its half timbered houses, cobbled streets and port, is perfect for an evening stroll. French channels available.
