The centre has been pedestrianised so it is a pleasant place in which to linger. The wine capital of Languedoc, Beziers, where the Canal du Midi crosses the River Orb, is 70 km and was already a thriving town when the Romans arrived in 35BC. Laze on the endless miles of golden sandy beaches in the many delightful resorts which include Cap d'Agde, Sète and Palavas-les-Flots (all approximately 70 km). Then, return to enjoy an al fresco meal enjoying the views. Shop, café/bar and restaurant 1.5 km.
