Description of La CressoniereLocated in the small hamlet of Loupiac in the Lot valley famous for wine-making and considered by some as the undiscovered jewel of South West France. Contemporary, spacious, three-storey holiday house adjacent to FML027 but totally independent making it ideal for larger parties or 2 families travelling together. Formerly a small watercress farm originally built in 1846; the original Pigeonnier still exists and is a typical architectural feature of properties in this region. The idyllic garden houses a large private swimming pool with electric shutters and gravelled terrace. Beyond this the garden extends a further acre which opens onto parking area. The stunning interior with a mixture of oak and limestone floors throughout includes a superb modern kitchen with island and good quality fittings. The ancient town of Cahors, famous for its wine and medieval bridge, is 35 km. Further north the famous Rocamadour, 70km, is built into a spectacular cliff and also worth a visit. Canoes for hire all along this part of the Lot valley. This whole region is a delight with its châteaux, winding rivers and gastronomic delicacies.
