Atlingbo Källgårds, Romakloster, Sweden
Description of House In RomaklosterThis holiday home is on a farmhouse in Atlingbo in Gotland where organic vegetables are grown. The herb garden and several years of culture are available right in front of the house. The owner has a dog, cats and chickens that run around freely on the property. The owner couple will provide the cots for babies and children on request. Atlingbo is situated at the centre of Gotland and is a good starting point for a roundtrip of the island. Also visit Tjaukle in Viklau, which is a beautiful place at the centre of the forest. A stream flows here and you can find grazing cows gnawing on the grass seeming as though it has been mowed. The Norrby Farm in Väte was farmed until the 40s by three siblings. They had no other family members. At present the farm is a place where you can recreate the earlier days through historic costumes. You can see old oaks and orchids in Mästerby Enge. There are 150 different varieties of orchids and about 20 rare plants that are on the red list - plants worthy of protection. Collared flycatchers, the birds of Gotland Countryside breed in the region. The seaside resorts of Sands and Tofta are located nearby. There is an outdoor swimming pool and shops in Romakloster, where you can also see the ruins of a monastery. Visby is 22 km away.
