Description of House In Gotlands Tofta

This holiday property has six semi-detached houses. All houses have a private balcony. The house is friendly for disabled people and is provided with wheelchair ramps and large bathroom. Pets are not allowed here but allowed in the other three accommodations. The cottages are located 400 metres away from the road 140. A public bus goes to Visby, so please make a note of the timings, as the bus schedule is adapted to this sparsely populated area. The fine sandy beach of Tofta is located within walking distance. The beach is 2.5 km long and is spread between Tofta and Giscard. Tofta offers tennis, mini golf, windsurfing, outdoor heated pool, beach volleyball and many restaurants. Gnisvärd is a more relaxed place. Your children can play on the beach and make sand castles and enjoy on the water front and splash around or play with the ball. Gotland has a lot to offer in summer and various themes takes place every week. In Ingemar Bergman Centre, you can experience theatre and movies; also it depicts the life and work of the famous director. Seminars and lectures as well as concerts are conducted here. In the movies, you can often see the magical island Fårö, which was the setting for many of his films. Ingemar had loved this island so much that he chose this as his final resting place; his grave can be seen in Fårö cemetery. In summer, the Bergman Centre is a popular meeting place for visitors on the island. Visby is 18 km away. The city was an important commercial and port city built in the 11th and 12th centuries. The city wall is 3.4 km long and dates back to the 12th century. The wall surrounds the 17 churches, which belongs to the Middle Ages, and many houses. Most of the churches are almost in ruins; St. Maria is still used as a church. In some churches summer concerts are held.
