Description of Heritage Mews

Heritage Mews is a beautifully appointed cottage with an official Visit England 5 Star rating and Gold Award for 'exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service'. It enjoys a superb central yet peaceful location in Stratford-upon-Avon's Old Town, close to Holy Trinity Church and the River Avon and within ten minutes' walk of the historic town centre, restaurants, theatres and all the famous sights.

Walk into town and to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre past Holy Trinity Church (where Shakespeare is buried) and along the riverside footpath, past an old pedestrian chain ferry and the celebrated 'Dirty Duck' inn, with a terrace overlooking the river. Or enjoy peaceful riverside walks through parkland and out into adjacent open countryside.

This delightful cottage has two bedrooms, an attractive private courtyard garden, free Wi-Fi internet access (password protected) and the added benefit of private off-street parking for two cars. Guests will find a complimentary welcome tray and freshly arranged flowers on their arrival.

Welcoming and comfortable, Heritage Mews is personally managed by the owners ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality throughout. Downstairs there is a small hall leading to the comfortably furnished sitting/ dining room with a Sony Full HD smart television, Panasonic DVD recorder and Roberts sound system with iPod dock. The compact, immaculate kitchen is well-equipped with high quality appliances, including a dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave and fridge-freezer. Upstairs are an elegant queen-size (5 foot) double bedroom and an attractive single bedroom. Both beds have comfortable pocket-sprung mattresses, duvets and luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen. The pristine white bathroom has a mains-powered overbath shower. Egyptian cotton towels are provided - a bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel for each guest.

The sitting-dining room opens onto a sunny, secluded courtyard garden, furnished with table and chairs - perfect for summer outdoor dining and a delight to look out onto in all seasons. Fully controllable central heating, double glazing and luxurious fitted carpets ensure guests' comfort at all times of the year.

Local Information

Heritage Mews is a 10 minute walk from Stratford-upon-Avon's picturesque historic town centre with its beautifully preserved half-timbered buildings including Shakespeare's Birthplace and Family Homes, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, a wide range of interesting independent shops, high street stores, and an amazing choice of restaurants, pubs, bistros, coffee shops and tearooms. Holy Trinity Church,situated on the banks of the River Avon and where you can visit Shakespeare's grave, is 3 or 4 minutes' walk; from here you can walk along the riverside footpath to the theatre and town centre and enjoy longer riverside walks through parkland or out into open countryside. Stratford-upon-Avon is the perfect destination for an out of season break - all the attractions and eateries are open throughout the year.

Occupancy and rates: maximum occupancy is 3 named guests, plus one infant age under 2 years in a cot. Only those guests named on the booking form are allowed in the property. Rates shown on the above calendar and Short Break rates shown below are for up to 3 guests. When there is a fourth infant guest, there is a small additional occupancy charge of £15 for the first 2 nights plus £5 per additional night, or £40 per week.

RENTAL RATES INCLUDE central heating, gas, electricity, unlimited Wi-Fi internet access, bed linen, towels and private off-street parking for two cars. Baby and toddler equipment: a stair gate, bed rail, high chair and other equipment is available on request; this is included in the rental. A 'Mamas & Papas Metro' beechwood cot (with cotton linen) can be provided on request, at an additional charge of £25 per week or short break. Please enquire.

PAYMENT: we accept payments in £ sterling/GBP by cheque drawn on a UK bank or by bank transfer. For some overseas guests we also accept credit and debit card payments through PayPal; you do not need a PayPal account to pay this way. Please note there is a small additional charge of 2.3% for PayPal payments from guests outside the EU and EEA.

SHORT BREAKS are available throughout the year except Christmas & New Year when the minimum stay is 7 nights. In 2018, minimum stay is 2 to 4 nights depending on the time of year. Booking Conditions

Heritage Mews is available to NON-SMOKERS only. Sorry, we do not accept pets.

You can make a provisional booking by email, by telephone or online on our website. To secure the booking we require a £75 non-refundable deposit per week or part week and a completed, signed booking form (or online booking form) confirming your agreement to our Booking Terms and Conditions. The balance of the rental is payable 8 weeks before arrival. For bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival, a booking form and the full rental are required to secure the booking.

You can arrive / check-in any time from 3pm on arrival day and must vacate the property by 10am on departure day. Only those guests named on the booking form are allowed in the property during your stay. You are expected to take reasonable care of the property and its contents, leaving them clean and tidy as you found them.
