Tigh Na Beithe is a delightful detached cottage offering a very high standard of accomodation and privacy yet within walking distance of the village of Killin.

The property is located along a quiet "no through" road just a gentle stroll away from the shingle beaches of Loch Tay and the historic ruins of Finlarig Castle. The setting is wonderfully peaceful with lovely open views to farmland and mountains to the south and a wooded hillside garden to the rear. To the east side of the cottage is a private sunny patio area ideal for al fresco dining or just chilling out and watching the abundant wildlife including the cheeky Mallards and Red Squirrels that are frequent garden visitors and Roe Deer that graze amongst the livestock in the field opposite.

Tigh na Beithe is equipped and furnished to an excellent standard offering two good sized bedrooms (master en-suite and twin room adjacent to family bathroom), spacious lounge with cosy open fire and uninterupted views to the south, a lovely kitchen dining room with patio doors leading onto the garden and adjoining boot/drying room. The property also has a garage suitable for securing cycles, fishing gear or golf clubs and fishing on the Lochay is available to guests by prior arrangement. To help you get the best out of your stay, there is a comprehensive library of OS Maps; walks/cycle routes and visitor guides as well as a good CD and DVD collection and games for when you just want to stay in and relax.

Killin, famous for the magnificent and much photographed "Falls Of Dochart", is a warm and welcoming historic highland village in the geographical heart of Scotland. It is well served with a variety of eating places and local shops and nearby Callander, Kenmore, Aberfeldy and Stirling boast an excellent variety of restaurants, pubs, art and craft shops to leisurely while away your time.

Highland Perthshire is renowned for its unspoilt and magnificent scenery, abundant and varied wildlife, fishing, golf, watersports, hill walking, endless forest walks and cycle routes. The area also attracts serious hill walkers due to the accessibility to some of Scotlands most famous Munroes, (mountains over 3000 feet) such as the Lawers Range, Ben More and Stobbinien that are almost on your doorstep with Lochaber, Glencoe and the Arrochar Hills all within an easy one hour drive away. Killin is also the base for a number of renowned Hill Walking Guides so if you are a novice or simply want to improve your mountain skills, you can take advantage of this excellent opportunity.
