Our bolt-hole, otherwise affectionately known as The Beach Hut, is a two-bedroom apartment in a tranquil, courtyard setting in the village of Downderry, South East Cornwall. It has its own parking space in the shade of a palm tree directly outside the property which is approached along a gravel pathway, via decking tastefully bordered with landscaped plants. The French windows lead into the lounge/dining area with fully-fitted kitchen to the side. The main bedroom contains a standard double bed and clothes rail with bedside lights and storage space. The second bedroom has pine bunk beds. The property sleeps 4 comfortably, but there is also room for a travel cot if required. Bedding is provided but please bring your own towels. There is a separate bathroom with shower and the property is central heated. An electric cooker and hob, fridge freezer, washer-dryer and microwave complete the kitchen. There is a radio/CD player, toys, games, books, buckets, spades and fishing nets. The neighbouring property is also a holiday let if two families wish to holiday together. Small dogs are permitted as the nearby beaches are open to dogs all year round. There is a Spar shop/post office, restaurant and pub just down the hill with further facilities a mile's walk along the beach at Seaton. Only 5 minutes walk to beautiful 2-mile+ beach and Seaton Bay, and easy access to Cornish coastal paths. Great base to visit other sites too, eg Looe, Eden Project and Plymouth Hoe, to name but a few.
